Myrtle
Beach
We hurried home from our trip to Michigan to pick up our trailer because we had booked a week
in Myrtle Beach for Eric's birthday at the end of September.
We parked the trailer, loaded up the bikes and headed for Myrtle Beach. This was our
first visit to Myrtle
Beach and we felt at home
right away. It reminded us of Branson
next to the beach.
Myrtle Beach had
great bike lanes and biking along their beach sidewalk and boardwalk. Earlier this summer, we got new (new to us)
bikes. We had been considering buying
new bike since ours were so old, mine was 20 years old and Eric's was about
10. We had test ridden several and had
decided on the ones we liked but were having trouble parting with the
money. Eric found the exact bikes we
both wanted on Craig's list that were 1 year old and had only been used for a
couple of weeks. Here we are riding
along the boardwalk.
We spent three days exploring Myrtle
Beach, then Elissa and Sydney joined us for the last
three days. We relaxed by the pool
during the afternoons and then played miniature golf in the evenings.

Sydney had a
great time golfing.
The last day we were there, we got up to watch the sun rise
over the ocean.
On our way home to Summerville, we stopped at the hammock village were they make the Pawley Island hammocks. It is a cute village of lots of old lowcountry homes turned into shops.
