Day 30
Sarchi
We took the buses to Sarchi, the
next town from Grecia. Sarchi is known
for its wood carving, furniture making and painted carts. We wandered about in some furniture shops
checking prices. The furniture they make
is very high quality and very beautiful.
We also stopped in one of the cart making shops.
They had several new carts on
display.
They also had some old well-used
carts.
It is hard to imagine loading up a
cart full of coffee and taking it on a multi-day trek across these mountains to
get to the coast.
